We are seeking an HR generalist to be our first full time, dedicated HR Manager. The role will support the management team on all people and culture related strategy and be responsible for people operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance, pay, benefits and administration.
Evalian specialise in data protection compliance, GDPR, information security, penetration testing and ISO certification consultancy. Founded in 2018 we have grown to more than 50 people, working from our offices and from home locations.
We have established a solid HR framework of policies, processes and supporting tools including an HRMS and ATS for HR and recruitment management respectively. We now wish to build on these foundations and establish a strategic approach to people operations and HR admin, including talent acquisition and retention.
The Role

The Person
You'll have at least 3 years of HR administration experience, potentially at adviser or business partner level, a good understanding of what 'good' HR and culture should look like and good working knowledge of UK employment law.
The ideal candidate will be ambitious to create a strong HR culture in a growing business and be comfortable working on the positive and more challenging aspects of human resources Strong administrative skills, an excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills are highly important.
You must be comfortable being the face of HR within our business and be capable of representing our policies, cultural and performance standards. An ability to influence and support line managers and directors is a necessity.
The Package
The salary will depend on your experience and will be in the range of £50,000-£55,000. A higher salary may be available for candidates with directly relevant experience.
Candidates with higher salary requirements are welcome to apply if they exceed the person profile but should include a covering letter setting out their salary expectations.
All employees receive 22 days of annual leave and their birthday off in addition to the 8 statutory bank holidays and have the option to receive pension contributions within our scheme.

Location & Minimum Requirements
The role can be office based (Winchester or Worcester), home based or hybrid.
With this in mind, we are happy to receive applications from candidates in any part of the UK provided you can work effectively from home and are comfortable with travelling to the Winchester and Worcester offices and other locations for employee meetups at agreed intervals.
If you are home based, you'll need to have a dedicated, secure, working area and reliable internet connection. We may request that you attend our offices or events from time to time for various purposes, but we’ll always provide you with advance notice. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
