We are seeking Cyber Security Consultants to join our growing team.
The role is ideally suited for someone with at least 1-2 years of information or cyber security experience who is looking to progress their career, work on a range of interesting projects, and accelerate their professional development.
Applicants with a governance, risk and compliance or technical background are welcomed provided you have a good knowledge and understanding of information security concepts and suitable experience.
You will work closely with clients on a range of cyber security topics and as such previous experience in a client facing role, would be ideal but is not necessarily essential. Similarly, holding relevant security qualifications would be a bonus but is not mandatory.
The Role
Evalian is an information and data protection consultancy business specialising in penetration testing, cyber essentials certification, cyber security advisory and regulatory compliance.
Working with senior consultants, you will support short and medium-term cyber security engagements covering a variety of consultancy activities. As you progress within the role you will be given the opportunity to assume greater responsibility for delivery and client management.

The role will also provide the opportunity to support the delivery of more specialised services such as cloud security consultancy and secure configuration assessments, secure development advisory and threat modelling, and social engineering assessments and physical security testing.
We will provide on the job support and fund external training for specific qualifications and skills (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC, etc) as part of an agreed development plan.
The Person
The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of information or cyber security experience, ideally in a client facing role, though candidates with in-house experience will be considered providing you are comfortable with working with third parties and can demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
Security qualifications are desirable but not essential. We will prepare a development programme for successful candidates which will including support for earning industry standard certifications.
You will need to be a self-starter who will fill in gaps in your knowledge through continued professional development; and you will want to attain additional security qualifications, supported by your employer and be willing to commit some personal time for studying for these.
The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills. The interview process will include asking short listed candidates to complete a short, written assignment and communication skills will be assessed throughout the interview process.
The Package
The salary will depend on your experience and qualifications but will be in the range of £45,000 - £60,000 plus benefits.

Location & Minimum Requirements
The role can be office based, home based or hybrid. With this in mind, we are happy to receive applications from candidates in any part of the UK provided you can work effectively from home and are willing to travel to client sites from time to time.
If you are home based, you'll need to have a dedicated, secure, working area and reliable internet connection. We may request that you attend our offices or events from time to time for various purposes, but we’ll always provide you with advance notice. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
